Angel Films' cinematography rentals and studio facilities are at the cutting edge of our industry. From its early beginnings, our company has epitomized strong entrepreneurship and a continuous desire to develop the sector. Henrik Paersch, a long-time professional in the movie business, founded the company in 1992. Today, the company's CEO is Ville Penttilä.
The company is situated in Herttoniemi industrial area in Helsinki. Angel Films' distinctive premises, representing the best of movie industry architecture, were designed by Heikkinen-Komonen Architects in 1997. Our rental warehouse with its Café and Service Department offers a complete range of cinematography needs. Next door, Finland's biggest studio offers facilities for TV and movie productions. The 800 m2 (8,600 sq. ft.) studio has seen the filming of innumerable feature movies, TV series, commercials and game shows. Angel Films also has a 250 m2 (2,700 sq. ft.) chroma studio just a five-minute drive from the main building. Devil Rentals, for digital movie equipment rentals, is on the same premises.
At the beginning of the year, on February 15, 2011 Angel Films merged with Devil Rentals Inc. and Swedish Dagsljus Inc. The convergence of these three strong actors means continued opportunities to offer professional expertise for the movie industry, not only in the Nordic countries but in the whole Northern Baltic area as well. Since the fusion, a new rental company has already been created in Haparanda-Tornio. North Star Rentals covers the rugged and beautiful northern landscape under the leadership of Nils Järvi. In June 2011 we opened up a rental house in Tallinn, Estonia. The Rental Manager of North Star Rental Estonia is Volmer Kliimand.

Founded in 2006 by three gaffers, Valofirma is by far Finland’s largest film equipment rental house. Our equipment is the most comprehensive and high-end available in the Nordic and Baltic region. We are based in Helsinki and have regional service points across the country’s filming hubs – Rovaniemi, Oulu, Turku, and a separate local branch in Tampere. In Estonia, we operate as Valgusfirma The Light House Oü. We are a one-stop shop, offering an extensive range of equipment, sound stages, vehicles, basecamp trailers, and talented crew. Thanks to our widespread international network, we have primary access to the newest gear. With a staff of nearly 50 and well over a thousand IMDb credits under our belts, we’re proud of our position as Finland’s premier rental house. Kamerafirma – The Camera House is Valofirma’s department purely dedicated to camera equipment rentals and crew, such as focus pullers and 2nd ACs. We house Finland’s broadest selection of cameras and lenses.
